RE: Enhancements, New Initiatives and Innovations and TCOs
From: Becky Trayer, Director of Fiscal Services
Who, what when and where?
In order to simplify the Innovation, Enhancement and New Initiative budgets, we will be including those special allocations in the department operating budgets (funding source 9811). In order to track and monitor those costs, we will use the following “project” numbers so that we can identify them separately from your normal operating budget:
00107 = FY07 Innovations
00607 = FY07 Enhancements
00807 = FY07 New Initiatives
This should make the process of entering purchase requisitions, personnel requisitions and travel claims easier. You will simply need to remember to include the appropriate project number (rather than using 00000).
Example: Business Services received $25,000 to fund the Strategic Planning On-Line (SPOL) New Initiative. They would use 11-521100-XXX-00807-6791-9811 which is their normal account code EXCEPT for the project number (00806).
We are hoping that this change will make coding and tracking these budgets and costs easier for you.
Baseline gap and TCO approvals will be in your operating budget (funding source 9811) or your fixed obligation budget (funding source 9211) depending on the specific request.
Please go to the following links to see who got what, how much and where it is.
FY07 PBC Fundings with Budget Codes
FY07 Baseline GAP Approvals with Budget Codes
Remember to look at both links (one is for Innovations, Enhancements, New Initiatives and TCOs, and the other is for Baseline Gaps).
If you received a two year new initiative last year, I will post the new funding amount (either carry over of the unspent amount or re-establish the original amount) within the very near future.
Don’t hesitate to call me or my staff or e-mail us if you have any questions.
Thanks for your cooperation and patience.
