Cosponsored by the EEOAC and the Black Student Union (BSU), Dr. Terrence Roberts was invited to speak at MiraCosta College on February 24, 2009, as part of the district's Black History Month celebrations. Dr. Roberts made history as one of the "Little Rock Nine" - students who volunteered to desegregate Arkansas' Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Dr. Roberts made two presentations, each to a full house, and stayed afterwards to chat with and answer questions from college students, community members, and local elementary school students. |
