Welcome to the Instructional Division Outcomes and Assessment web pages
In these pages you will find the assessment rollout timeline (adopted by the Academic Senate), a statement of principles and conclusions guiding the assessment process, frequently asked questions, and a glossary.
You will also find pages devoted to Career and Technical Education, General Education/Transfer, and Non-Credit that archive the work completed in each instructional area as we’ve moved forward in implementing an assessment based, learner-centered instructional program.
The training resources link will take you to the PowerPoints presented at the Spring 2007 workshops on writing student learning outcomes, developing assessment tools, and incorporating rubrics in your assessment process.
One last thought --
As you consider the linked material, please keep in mind that the process of evolving a learner-centered curriculum succeeds meaningfully only if everyone participates, speaking within and across disciplines, at every stage and in an ongoing manner to create a meaningful, manageable and sustainable assessment process. Incorporating outcomes and assessment across instruction must be a faculty-driven enterprise.
Thank you, once again, for your support.
