Universal Design for Learning in Higher Education
Webinar handouts in pdf
What is Universal Design? Given the central role of teaching and learning in our professional lives, faculty need concrete ways to enhance their effectiveness in the classroom in support of greater student achievement. Have you ever asked yourself, "How can I meet the needs of students who struggle to learn for a variety of reasons without compromising the rigorous standards of my course?" Implementing the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) enables you to effectively and creatively design and teach your course in a way that makes learning accessible to a wider range of students. UDL is a proactive approach to designing course instruction, materials, and content to benefit students of all learning styles without afterthought-based adaptation or retrofitting.
