Introduction to Kinesiology

This course introduces students to the field of kinesiology and nutrition, including its history, scope, and sub-disciplines. Students explore principles of kinesiology and career opportunities within kinesiology and nutrition/dietetics as well as professional characteristics and ethical responsibilities of those who work in the field. Topics include nutrition, biomechanics, fitness/posture assessments, assessment tool use (body fat, flexibility, cardiorespiratory), exercise prescriptions, and behavior management.

This option will give you a both the hard copy textbook and the Connect access code (approximately $175.00). It’s a good and if you are a Kinesiology major I recommend getting the hard copy version, so you can keep it.



(Option #2) 




eBook & Connect access code (approximately $85.00). This option will get you through my class you will lose access to the eBook and access code after 6 months. If you still want to purchase a PRINT copy of Fit & Well (12 ed.) you can do so directly from CONNECT for (approximately $25) and they will ship a color, loose-leaf print version of the text directly to you.


To register and buy the "Connect Plus" Click on Module 1: Muscular, Skeletal & Nervous Systems, and “Assignment 1(Part I): Muscular, Skeletal, and Nervous System (5 Points),” and follow the prompts from there.
