Children with Special Learning Needs

This course focuses on learning to work with children with disabilities, challenging behaviors, and other special learning needs in inclusive early childhood settings. Topics include how individual child needs are assessed, how they impact families, and how programming and curriculum can be adapted to meet the needs of all young children, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds.

This course will be launched in Canvas and will have NO TEXTBOOK. All readings will be provided each week. /

NOTE: This is a zero textbook cost course, if you need a hard copy of the textbook, please notify the instructor immediately. Inclusion Works! is available for purchase in the bookstore if you would like a hard copy. 

A copy of the paper reader and the Inclusion Works! book will also be available at the library on reserve. 

If you are enrolled in the course, look for an email about the course before it begins on February 5, 2018.  You are required to post an introduction post in the introduction discussion board before the end of the day on the first day of class, February 5, 2018.  Failure to post an introduction may result in being dropped from the class.
