Instructor notes: A great way to learn Behavioral Statistics.  The course includes recorded class lectures, video highlights, an instructor written workbook, and excellent organization for your success.  Student feedback is very positive. The course includes three exams that must be taken on the MiraCosta campus (or by arrangement at another proctoring center). The exams are taken at the Academic Proctoring Center, which has locations on both the Oceanside and San Elijo MiraCosta campuses, with hours typically in the morning, afternoon, and evening M - F. Students who have not logged into the course and completed the orientation activity by Tuesday of the first week of class may be dropped to make room for other students who wish to add.  A sample syllabus (from a prior semester) can be found at http://goo.gl/QeyKvI (copy and paste the URL into your web browser to view the syllabus). Hope to see you in the Spring!

P.S.  If you'd like to take an online course, but have the statistical software (SPSS) portion onsite, consider the hybrid being offered.

Comments from a prior student:
To the students taking this course in the fall! I highly recommend doing the reading and the "test your understanding" sections in the workbook as they are assigned. The workbook is my most cherished study tool along with the videos. Another thing I do is take the self evaluations several times; usually until i get a perfect score on it 2 or 3 times in a row. That way, when I take the quiz, I have already seen the questions and know how to solve them leading to a perfect score on the quiz! Since this course is online, some may tend to push it to the side. DO NOT DO SO. This is a course that you must dedicate diligent focus and ample time to in order to get a desirable grade. Communicate with Professor Kelley and read his announcements!! Best of luck to you all.
