Find Magazine, Journal, and Newspaper Articles using Databases

There are many resources to help you find information in magazines, journals and newspapers.

• What is the difference between a magazine and a journal?
• The MCC libraries subscribe to a number of online full-text periodical databases which will allow you to search multiple publications for articles on your topic.

Which database? 

• Try ProQuest for magazines, journals and newspapers on all subjects.
• LexisNexis is a leading database for researching news, business, and legal topics.
• JSTOR is another database for journal articles only.

Off-Campus Access

All of these databases are accessible from home. You will need to log in with your SURF ID and password.

Free Full-Text Article Websites

Web sites that provide free full-text articles online include Find Articles, HighWire Press from Stanford, and Google Scholar.
