Library Orientations & Instruction
The librarians are pleased to offer general or customized orientations, held in the library or a campus classroom or computer lab.
NEW! Try our Online Request Form.
To schedule an orientation, please note the following
- We recommend at least one week’s notice to plan and customize an orientation, and to schedule the appropriate classroom and equipment. Requests made with less than one week’s notice will be accommodated when possible. If we cannot accommodate your preferred date, we will work with you to find a mutually acceptable alternative.
- Instructors must be present during all library instruction sessions.
- Please provide the librarians with a copy of your assignment, in advance.
- Instructors may reserve the library instruction rooms at either campus to offer one time instruction in electronic resources themselves, or they may arrange for a librarian to conduct the orientation. The rooms may not be reserved for any purpose but library instruction, or on a regular basis for one class.
- Please do not bring your class into the library without making an appointment with a librarian, even if you are not requesting an orientation. There may be another class already scheduled to use the library facilities at that time.
- To schedule an orientation or to reserve the library instruction rooms, please use the Online Request Form.
