Andy Williams
Andy attended College of the Siskiyous Community College (COS) before getting his Chemical Engineering degree from UC Davis. He had a great personal and scholastic experience at COS so when he discovered Genentech was a partner with Mira Costa College he asked how he could get involved. In 2007, “I had the privilege of bestowing several Genentech Scholarship awards to students of MiraCosta's Biotech Certificate Program. The passion and joy of all the students I met that day are memories that I won't forget,” he said. Wanting to make an impact on a large scale lead him to the pharmaceutical industry based on seeing the powerful impact it has on directly affecting patient's lives. Andy noted “Knowing that what I do for Genentech directly saves or prolongs our patient's lives is what I go to work for everyday.” He and his wife Teri have been married for 11 years and three children, Robby 7, Ryan 5 and Reese 2. They enjoy sports, the outdoors and have a multitude of family pets.
