Edward Eginton, Architect
Ed began his higher education in Engineering, but quickly realized he needed a more creative outlet and changed his major to Architecture. He has designed hospitals, schools, office buildings and casinos, but prefers residential housing which he has specialized in since 1973 after completing his own home in Solana Beach. He has long been involved with helping local children through the Boys and Girls Club as well as many scholarship programs. “Seeing the smiles on their faces when they receive those scholarship awards makes it all worthwhile” Ed stated. Tired of Santa Monica beach traffic, he moved his family to Solana Beach in 1972. Ed and his wife Jackie have a daughter who is a very involved school volunteer and a son who is a musician, as well as two grandsons.
