Elizabeth A. Principi, Attorney
Elizabeth pursued a nursing career in the Navy because she wanted to care for people, then became a lawyer because she wanted to see that the less fortunate got good legal help. She holds a J.D. from Seton Hall University, a Masters degree in Health Care Law from The George Washington University, was an Armed Forces Fellow in Legal Medicine, and has a B.S. in Nursing from the University of San Francisco. Elizabeth is now in private practice specializing in Health Care Law. She became involved with the MiraCosta College Foundation when former board president Susan Ostanik invited her to a fundraiser where she bid and won “the best dog in the world - Harley a golden retriever”. Some of her favorite memories of volunteering are helping the combat veterans at Walter Reed Hospital. She and her husband moved to North San Diego County in 1988 courtesy of the US Navy and since she was born in Los Angeles and had been stationed in San Diego with the Navy in the 1970's “it was like coming home” she stated. Elizabeth has three sons, three daughters-in-law, and two granddaughters with a third grandchild due in Autumn 2008.
