Knox Williams, Owner, Rayne Water Conditioning (Retired)

Being the first in his family to get a college degree was just one of many initiatives Knox has undertaken in his life. He started his college life at Bakersfield Junior College, later transferring and graduating from the UCLA. “I’ve been in sales since elementary school and it just seems to come naturally to me,” he stated. This talent led to him purchasing his own Rayne Water Conditioning business in 1961 located in North San Diego County. He is a member, and a past president, of The El Camino Real Rotary Club, is a Founding Member, and the Chair of The Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, a member and past Chair of The Mottino Family YMCA, and now, a member of The MiraCosta College Foundation. Last year, Knox and his wife June funded a Charitable Gift Annuity for scholarships at MCC. They have been married for 56 years and have lived in Carlsbad for over 46 of those years, raised twin daughters and a son whom they lost in 1999. They have four grandchildren, two of whom graduated from high school, and the other two who graduated from university this year.
