Larry Hatter, President, Hatter and Associates
President
From volunteering on the Armed Services YMCA Board of Directors in the 1970’s to his most recent appointment as president of the MiraCosta College Foundation, Larry has long been involved in the North San Diego County community. He has headed several local United Way campaigns and led fundraising initiatives for low-cost housing for the elderly as well as Oceanside’s School District, Library, and Museum of Art. The business community also benefited from his involvement in the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and City of Oceanside economic development planning. He attended MiraCosta College in the late 1960’s where he met his wife, Cathie, who tutored him in Biology. He went on to a stellar career in financial services, earning the Travelers Insurance Company’s two top awards for independent agents before retiring in 2005. Larry and Cathie have three children, a son who is a high school math teacher, another son who is an architectural photographer, and a daughter who is a dentist, as well as four grandchildren.
