Robert J. Macfarlane, Attorney-Mediator
The idea that community colleges create the possibility for individuals to transform their lives is what keeps Robert involved with MiraCosta College. As a family law attorney and mediator he sees how the choices people make create the futures they live. Though the military brought him to San Diego during the Vietnam War, the surf in Encinitas has kept him here. Robert lives with his wife, a MiraCosta alumnus, has eight adult children, and two grandchildren.
