Steven Cade, Seawind International Inc., President/Founder
A passion for education runs in the Cade family. Patriarch Wyeth “Wink” Cade sent all four of his sons to college, fulfilling his higher education ambitions which could not be realized due to the Great Depression. All three of Steve and Maureen’s (Mymy) sons also pursued college educations and graduated from UCLA, Princeton, and UCI. Maureen, a Registered Nurse working in the ICU at Scripps Encinitas Hospital, attended Mira Costa College as an adult which further inspired their support of higher education. She was also a "Medal of Honor" scholarship recipient at MCC. Later she graduated top in her nursing class at Palomar College. Steve's love of building businesses and organizations that fulfill needs has been extended to his involvement with providing scholarships for students at Mira Costa College. Previously, Steve served on the Board of Trustees for the Carlsbad Unified School District. He is currently President of Seawind Trading International, an import-export food ingredient company in Carlsbad.
