MiraCosta's Kruglak Gallery Hosts Art Show that Puts San Diego in Perspective

The artwork of San Diego artist Bill Mosley will be on display in the Kruglak Gallery November 13-December 6.  The show, “San Diego in Perspective,” captures the transformation and evolution of the City of San Diego’s downtown landscape. 

During the past three decades, Mosley’s work has concentrated on the changing architectural climate and transformation of San Diego’s urban environment. Through process paintings, Mosley carefully details the metamorphosis of the once quaint older neighborhoods into business and residential corridors, filled with glass and steel skyscrapers. 

Mosley’s work focuses not only on the complex structural changes that the city has endured, but he frequently depicts the steel workers, who assemble these intricate puzzle-like structures. 

“As an artist, I wanted to record people in action,” says Mosley.  “For me, the new dynamic is capturing workers busy at their trade since they are the ones who are actively transforming the downtown.”

“San Diego in Perspective” will be on display in the Kruglak Gallery November 13-December 6.  Hours are Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 6-7:30 p.m. (Gallery closed the evening of Nov. 21 and on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22.) Admission is free.
