MiraCosta College to Host Men's Health Fair

Student Health Services at MiraCosta College will be holding a Health Fair to promote men’s health on Thursday, November 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room Aztlan B of the Student Center, at the Oceanside Campus, 1 Barnard Dr., Oceanside. As part of the fair, Student Health Services will be offering blood pressure checks, nutrition information, sport injury prevention, intramural/sport game information, and more.

“Currently 2,586 women seek preventative health care at Student Health Services,” says MiraCosta College Nursing Instructor Julie Vignato.  “However, only 893 men seek preventative health care. The goal of the Men’s Health Fair is to increase awareness on men’s health issues as well as to encourage them to seek preventative care.”
