MiraCosta College Adult High School Diploma Program is Taking New Students

MiraCosta College’s free Adult High School Diploma Program is registering new students. Registration for Term III of the program, which runs January 8-March 12, will be held December 18-20 at the Community Learning Center, 1831 Mission Ave. in Oceanside.  For additional information, including registration times, call (760) 795-8710.

The Adult High School Diploma Program is designed for students 18 years of age or older who wish to complete the requirements for a high school diploma or prepare to take the GED. Those under 18 who can benefit from instruction are also allowed to enroll if they meet certain criteria.  In order to place students in courses that best meet their needs, individual skills will be assessed. Those who need to improve their reading to be successful in courses for high school credit may take courses designed for that purpose. English, reading and math courses are also appropriate for persons who do not need a high school diploma but wish to increase their skills in preparation for college classes, for employment or advancement in the workplace or for personal growth.

Classes are held at MiraCosta College Community Learning Center and counselors are available to assist students. To see a counselor or get more information call (760) 795-8710, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
