Attention New College Students: MiraCosta College Offers Academic Boot Camp

New college students who are planning to transfer, earn an associate degree or complete a certificate are eligible to attend MiraCosta College’s new Academic Boot Camp. This two-day, one-night camp affords first-time college students planning to attend MiraCosta this summer or fall an opportunity to meet faculty, consult with academic advisers, register for fall classes, learn study skills, and make new friends. Academic Boot Camp is scheduled for July 14-15, 2008.

Camp starts with a campus tour at either the Oceanside or San Elijo campus, followed by a bus ride to the University of San Diego (USD) for two days and one night of getting ready for college. Camp includes transportation, overnight lodging at USD, four meals, college skills workshops and social activities—all free of charge.
