Two Weekend Concerts Coming Up at MiraCosta College
MiraCosta College will hold two great concerts the weekend of October 23, each featuring the talents of students and local community members.
On Friday, October 23, MiraCosta’s vocal jazz ensemble, Frequency, will be featured in “Frequency Sneak Peek,” at 7:30 p.m. in Studio A, inside the college’s beautiful Creative Arts Building (Bldg. 2200), located on the Oceanside Campus, 1 Barnard Drive. The musical weekend continues with MiraCosta College’s North Coast Symphony Orchestra performing “The Symphonic Music of Johannes Brahms,” to be held Saturday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, October 25 at 2 p.m. at the MiraCosta College Theatre, 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside. The concert will feature Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 in F Major, Opus 90; Academic Festival Overture, Opus 80; as well as Brahms’ Hungarian Dances Nos. 17-21, which were orchestrated by Antonin Dvorak. The North Coast Symphony Orchestra offers four concerts per year at different concert halls around North County. Its main goal is to bring classical music to everyone, young and old alike.
