Garrett Grabowsky

Garrett Grabowsky began attending MiraCosta College in order to finish the general education units needed to obtain a bachelor’s degree.  Once he earned a B.A. he decided to continue attending MiraCosta in order to finish the college’s popular business program.

“I love MiraCosta,” he explains. “I honestly take classes here because I just love taking this college’s classes.”

Garrett holds a bachelor’s degree in motion picture/video production from Brooks University.  After he graduated, he took a corporate job doing photography.

“It was a bad experience,” he says.

Garrett decided to quit the job and open his own business. But first, he wanted to learn the ins and outs of business management.

“MiraCosta’s business classes helped me learn how to market myself, deal effectively with clients, and manage workers. Even though I already had a bachelor’s degree when I started at MiraCosta, I learned more about running my own business from MiraCosta classes than I did in my previous undergraduate studies.”

Garrett is now the proud owner of GMG Multimedia, a video and photography company specializing in portraits, event photography and videography.  He attributes a lot of his newly-found success to his experiences at MiraCosta College.

“MiraCosta’s business classes have turned around my idea of how to run my business. I have learned so much; I plan to continue to take classes indefinitely.”
