Counseling for Prospective Students

Students choose MiraCosta College because of our quality programs, affordability, and personable service. Whether you have recently graduated from high school, transferred from another college, or would like to re-enter college, the MiraCosta College Counseling Department is ready to serve you. Whether you wish to take a single course or a full load, earn a Certificate of Competence or prepare for transfer to a four-year university, the Counseling Department is committed to helping you succeed.

Below is some information to help you get started. If you have any questions, feel free to stop by the Counseling office in Building 3300 at the Oceanside Campus and in the Administration Building at the San Elijo Campus. Information for High School students

You must first complete a Concurrent Enrollment Permit, then follow the steps below for enrollment.

Information for students returning to college or transferring from another college or university

  • Complete the Steps to Successful Enrollment.
  • If you have transcripts from other colleges, submit them to the Counseling office.
  • Make an appointment with a counselor to discuss goals, course planning, and your educational objectives. Just stop by the Counseling office or call (760) 795-6670 or (760) 944-4449, extension 6670.
