About Financial Aid
Mission Statement: To support access to education by providing needed assistance to economically challenged students.
Goal Statement: Provide timely, efficient customer oriented services in a nuturing environment while supporting the diversity, student success, and retention goals of the college and meeting the fiduciary responsibility to federal, state, and institutional stakeholders.
Applying for Financial Aid: A multi-step process that can be confusing. A missed step can lead to frustration and stress.
MiraCosta's Financial Aid Guide 2010-2011 contains information that will assist you with the process and answer any questions you may have.
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) On-line Workshop - Effective 2010-11, all students are required to complete the MiraCosta College SAP Workshop and quiz. In addition, students who do not make satisfactory progress and want to petition for reinstatement, are required to complete the MiraCosta College SAP WORKSHOP and quiz each time they petition. A score of 100% is required.
The completed quiz must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office. If petitioning, the completed quiz must be attached to the petition and submitted to the Financial Aid Office for consideration of reinstatement to financial aid.
