Optional Practical Training (OPT) Information

What is OPT?  OPT is a 12-month employment authorization for F-1 students to work in the U.S. after completing their educational program.  The employment must be related to the field of study at MiraCosta College.  Prior to apply for OPT, students must have F-1 enrollment for at least one academic year at MiraCosta College.
