Friends of the Library
Established in 2003, the Friends of the MiraCosta College Library is composed of community and college members who are interested in helping our library grow.
The Friends of the MiraCosta College Library endeavors to provide funding for:
- Acquisitions including art, special collections and rare editions.
- Events and other activities, including lectures, readings, exhibits, and performances to add to the cultural life of the college and community.
- Scholar-in-Residence endowment to bring to campus notable scholars representing the sciences, humanities and arts.
- Student grants in support of scholarly projects contributing to the enrichment of the library.
- Projects to support the collections and educational programs of a sister library in a developing country.
The Friends of the MiraCosta College Library supports acquisitions, events and programs as described above at both the Oceanside and San Elijo Library and Information Hubs.
We invite you to join the Friends of the MiraCosta College Library!
