General Information

To be eligible for MiraCosta College Foundation scholarships, a student must have completed at least 12 units at MiraCosta at the time of application; or if a student is enrolled in a vocational certificate program, they must have completed at least 6 units at MiraCosta at the time of application.  To apply, submit a completed MiraCosta College Foundation Scholarship Application to the Scholarship office by the deadline date.

High school students graduating from district high schools in June or January, and plan to attend MiraCosta the following semester, are eligible to apply for MiraCosta scholarships.  A current, unofficial, high school transcript must accompany their application.  High school applications received without transcripts willl not be processed.

Students do not apply for specific scholarships.  Instead, students complete the Personal Statement on the application listing their career and educational goals, extracurricular activities, and any personal information they would like to share.  The Awards & Scholarships Committee will match the applications with the appropriate scholarships.  Scholarship recipients are notified in writing of their award with instructions on when and how the funds will be disbursed.
