Robin Sachs      Child Development 205

Course Title: Health and Safety Issues in Childhood

Service Learning Assignment:
The service learning assignment is an opportunity for students to gain practical experience for the information learned in the course.  Students need to complete 10 out-of-class service hours working in an approved service learning location.  The assignment is optional. Students will need to complete two sets of field notes and a final reflection paper.

Learning Objectives for the Service Assignment:

As the health and safety of all children is so important, the objective is for students to work in environments where they can apply the information learned regarding healthy practices. While working with children, students will gain a better understanding of the critical importance of providing a safe environment at all times.
