11.17.09 Spartans Start Strong
After a wake up call from Irvine Valley College in their first contest the MiraCosta Men's Basketball team is off to a 2-1 start. After a sub par performance against IVC the Spartans went on to beat Santa Ana College (76-63) and Reedley College (58-38). The Spartans are in action next on Thursday at home versus Rio Hondo College at 5pm.
10.29.09 Coach Mosley Receives Contract in Brazil
Coach Leonard Mosley, a third year assistant coach who has been playing in the ABA was given a contract to play in Brazil for the coming season. Everyone at MiraCosta College wishes Coach Mo the best.
09.29.09 Spartan Men's Basketball Schedule Announced
The MiraCosta Men's Basketball coaching staff is excited for the upcoming season. First game in November 6th at Irvine Valley College and the entire 2009-2010 schedule can be viewed above under schedule. Come support your Spartans!
08.18.09 First Day of School is August 24th
The MiraCosta coaching staff is very excited about the incoming class of student-athletes. "We have a diverse group of young men who are talented, but more importantly are coachable and willing to work. We are ready to get in the gym and get going. We'll know a lot more about our guys in the first few weeks."
For anyone who wishes to tryout for the MiraCosta Men's Basketball team you need to contact Coach Conahan by August 21st.
10.9.07 Adelman to be Inducted into the California Community College Athletic Association Hall of Fame
Clete Adelman, Emeritus Coach of MiraCosta College (1978-2005), will be inducted into the CCCAA Hall of Fame in March of 2008 in Stockton at the state basketball tournament. Adelman, who is known as an educator first, is responsible for building and maintaining Spartan Basketball for the last three decades.
