It is a good size room with hardwood floors and a closet with mirror doors and lots of hanging space. In the room is DSL high speed wireless internet. The bathroom is shared with only 1 other female roommate. There is Dish Network cable (most movie channels) in the living room. The kitchen has all amenities with dish washer, microwave and many cabinets for the roommates. There is Maytag washer and dryer next to the kitchen. There is an enclosed patio side area with barbeque and bikes can safely be left there. The roommates' area is in front of the house and my husband and my rooms are in the back so the front part is mainly for the roommates. There is plenty of street parking. The environment in our house is clean and very tranquil and peaceful. Our house is in a quiet residential neighborhood and is centrally located to all the 3 freeways (5, 78 and 76) and walking distance to the Sprinter station(train). We are 1 1/2 miles from beach and Pier. The house is 7 minutes by car to Mira Costa College. It is month to month. There are other female roommates living here between 21-34 years old. I have two furnished bedrooms available. One has a large California King bed, so if the student wants to room with someone and then another student could take the second bedroom with the full bed. I could take three and then the rent would only be 500.00 each including the utilities. The rent is 650.00 with 75.00 for utilities. The students could have full use of the common areas of the house, living room, dining room, eat-in kitchen, kitchen, laundry room. I also have an office downstairs with a computer and router that could handle wireless. They would have cable TV in each room (one with a VCR and maybe we could set the other one up with one as well)and use of the telephone. The bathroom upstairs they would be using has two sinks and the toilet and shower/tub has a separate door. The parking is one on the driveway with us and one in the street infront of the house. It is a quiet, residental area. Parking is not an issue. They would only have to move the car on Tuesdays from 11-2pm for street sweeping. I have a old, spoiled cat and two little finches, so I can't have any other animals. They could have caged birds. Smoking is permitted outside only. The rent is due the 15th of the month. My husband works nights and sleeps during the day, He has been employed at Tri-City Medical Center Engineering Dept for 20 years. I'm unemployed at present, worked for Tri-City Medical Center Emergency Rm for 9 years and Scripps Memorial Hospital for 15 years. We are a very happy household. No drama, no drugs, occasional social drinking (rare). We don't party, so the students would have to do that elsewhere.We are quiet and polite and we get along with everybody, easygoing and we respect one's privacy. I can only accept females at this time. The students can re-decorate the rooms as they wish. The large California king will have to stay because it's way too big and there is storage drawers under the bed. The rooms will be available 10/1 if there are any female students who are interested. We are about 5-6 miles from Mira Costa, straight up College to Vandergrift (towards the base) all the way to Douglas turn left go up to Malaguena turn left, Turn right on Mindanao go to Via Madrid make left and we are down Via Madrid on the left 5118.
