ID Cards
The MiraCosta College Student ID Card is helpful when checking out library materials including reserved materials, using the computer labs, writing checks in the college bookstores, identification for test-taking, using certain college facilities and more. Additionally, the card may be used for off-campus discounts at participating copy centers, theatres, restaurants, clubs, museums and sports events just to name a few. With the discount on just two movie tickets, a cardholder will save more than the cost of the ID card.
Funded activities include: Student government and campus clubs, community events, cultural celebrations such as African-American History Month, Asian Pacific events, Cinco de Mayo, ASG elections, and the Chariot student newspaper.
How to get your ID card:
1. Pay your fees at enrollment;
2. Bring your receipt to the Student Activities Office, upper level, Student Center, Oceanside Campus or Student Lounge, San Elijo Campus along with one of the following valid forms of identification:
- A valid driver’s license containing a photograph.
- A temporary California driver’s license containing a photograph.
- A valid state-issued identification card containing a photograph.
- A valid United States Military I.D. card (active duty, reserve, dependent).
- A valid driver’s license issued by a Canadian government authority.
- A valid driver’s license issued by the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico or Virgin Islands.
- A valid U.S. passport.
- A valid foreign passport.
- A valid alien registration card (“Green Card”).
- California Department of Corrections Privilege card [CDC 130-A(7-88)].
- Matrícula Consular;
3. Have your picture taken and the card made while you wait;
4. Be sure to have a current sticker on the card.
Housing List
The Student Activities Office hosts an online list of housing options for students. Click the Housing List to view options currently posted.
Flyer posting on campus
Flyer posting at MiraCosta is a free service. A total of 5 flyers must be brought to the Student Activities for approval to post. The office will post flyers for 2 weeks at kiosks located at MiraCosta.
Student Contact Tables
Persons of the community may request a student contact table at MiraCosta. The cost is a preppayment of $50 per day in the form of check or money order. The table can be used to hand out flyers and other approved printed materials. Contact personnel may not accept student payment for services.
