GED - General Education Development
You must register in person at our main campus, Building 3000, Room 3003 (8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday); at the San Elijo campus, Admissions & Records department in the Adminstration Building (8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday); or at our Community Learning Center at 1831 Mission Avenue in Oceanside (no later than 7:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and until noon on Friday).
A completed application and payment of all fees is required at time of registration. Examinees must be 18 years of age, provide proof of residency in California and provide a government issued identification such as a driver's license, state i.d. card or military i.d. or passport. Effective January 2005, the cost is $100 for the entire test battery (this includes state and federal fees of $28.50) Language Arts: Writing - $15.50; the Language Arts: Reading, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies tests are $14.00 each.
GED Test Location: Room 3102, MiraCosta College Oceanside Campus, One Barnard Drive, Oceanside, CA 92056.
GED classes are available at our Community Learning Center (1831 Mission Avenue, Oceanside). Please call them at 795-8710.
Testing session is from 7:45 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m.
