Welcome to the University Transfer Center web page. We are here to assist you in your transfer process to the college or university of your choice. The transfer process is multifaceted and you should work with a counselor to make sure your educational plan is appropriate for your goals. Announcement:
For students who were planning to apply to Cal State University, San Marcos (CSUSM) for spring 2009:
CSU San Marcos does not plan to accept applications from new undergraduate students for spring 2009.
The University Transfer Center at MiraCosta College will be presenting workshops on the Oceanside campus to discuss options and offer guidance for students who are affected by the CSUSM decision. Please join us, no appointment is necessary.

- Do you have an educational plan? Call (760) 795-6880 to set up an appointment with a transfer counselor to create an individual academic transfer plan. Students must take the math and English assessment tests first.

- Some UC and CSU campuses have extended their deadlines for admission. Please check the links below or stop by the transfer center for more information.
- The California State University application is available online.
- You can apply to a University of California school online.

You must apply for IGETC certification when you request your transcript at the end of your last term at MiraCosta College.
Once you transfer, you will not be allowed to apply for IGETC certification. If you are unable to complete all requirements for IGETC due to hardship (medical, military deployment, etc) please see a counselor for additional paperwork to petition for IGETC after transfer.
