UCSD University Link Program
The UniversityLink* Program is a partnership between the University of California, San Diego and MiraCosta College and local high schools. It is a program that guarantees high school students admission to UCSD by completing the first two years of academic course work at MiraCosta. The program offers outstanding service, including individual academic advisement and counseling, informational workshops and tours, invitations to special events at UCSD, and contact with current UCSD students. The UniversityLink agreement must be submitted to UCSD during the spring of the senior year in high school or during the first year at MiraCosta College. UniversityLink Medical Science Program
The UniversityLink Medical Science Program is a four-week summer residential program for eligible UniversityLink students interested in:
- Medicine
- Dentistry
- Pharmacy
- Biomedical Science Research
- Other Allied Health Careers
A minimum of one semester at MiraCosta College must be completed with a 3.0 or higher GPA and the student must be enrolled in at least 12 semester units at the time of application (spring semester). UniversityLink students interested in this program will be invited to apply during February or March for the summer program. The UniversityLink Medical Science Program is free to participants. The program pays the cost of the four-week academic activities and the campus room and board expenses.
UniversityLink Requirements
To sign up for UniversityLink all students must enroll in COUN 105 during their first year at MiraCosta.
