Instructions:

How to Login to the Computer Portion of the Conference:

1. Disable all pop-up blocker softward on your computer. For those of you using Internet Explorer go under the Tools tab and then down to Pop-up Blocker (the second tab). If you have a Yahoo or Google toolbar, you might have to disable their pop-up blocker too. On the Yahoo toolbar, click on the mini arrow to the right of the Yahoo “Exclamation point” button. Do this before trying to login to the session. We suggest you attempt to login 10 minutes prior to your online tutoring appointment.

2. Go to www.cccconfer.org and click on the LOGIN TO TEACH & CONFER tab to access the Online Tutoring session.

3. Run the SetUp Wizard located at the left hand side of the page. This can be done at any time prior to attending the online tutoring session (preferably earlier in the day).

4. Review your online appointment confirmation, then locate your MiraCosta Online Room on the list of available options (the room will be listed by date and time). Click the Participant radio button and then click Go to enter the login screen. (If you access the online tutoring room directly from the link in the above table, then you can skip step #4.)

5. Check to makes sure the login page has the correct title (e.g., MiraCosta Online Room A - Tutor Joe).

6. The Login page will request the following information:

• First Name: Enter your first name.
• Last Name: Enter your last name.
• E-mail address: Enter a valid e-mail address.
• Screen Name: Your first name.
• Password: 95535081

How to Log-on to the Telephone Portion of the Conference: (We suggest doing this second, after you get online)

1. Dial the telephone conference line: 1-866-316-1517

2. Enter your Password: 95535081

3. You will be able to access the telephone conference line 15 minutes prior to the opening of Office Hours.

4. You will hear music until the Online Tutor dials in.

5. You are then logged-in to the conference call and can speak with your classmates and the Online Tutor.

You can mute your individual telephone line by pressing *6. (This is helpful if you have a noisy household, for example, behind you). The extra background noise will make it difficult for others to hear. You can un-mute you line when you need to speak or when you wish to ask a question by typing *6 on your phone pad again.
