ABOUT THE MIRACOSTA Scholarship Program

The MiraCosta College Foundation supports many scholarships throughout the fall and spring semesters. A majority of the scholarships are for continuing MiraCosta College students, but there are also scholarships for MiraCosta College students transferring to 4-year institutions and for graduating high school seniors planning to enroll at MiraCosta College in the fall.

Eligibility criteria may be based on financial need, academic achievement, volunteer service, a specific major and/or certificate program.  Review each scholarship for eligibility and deadline dates. Other Scholarships Available

MiraCosta College receives many solicitations to post scholarship information on our website.  Because these solicitations come from various entities and it is difficult to discern what is a legitimate opportunity versus a scam, our office has partnered with iGrad to filter the scholarship opportunities submitted to this office.

iGrad Scholarship Database

MiraCosta College has recently added the iGrad Financial Wellness platform to our library of student resources to improve financial literacy. iGrad can help you achieve a better financial life with tools designed to improve your personal finance knowledge and habits.

iGrad features useful scholarship resources, including a 15 minute mini-course “Learn How to Optimize Your Scholarship Search” and an e-book “Scholarship Success” to help you improve your skills and guide you through the application process. The database includes over 2,300 scholarship awards totaling over $10.8 million.
