Born in Denver, Colorado, Bill Burk moved to California where he graduated from Claremont McKenna College with degrees in Biology and Philosophy. After working for Upjohn Pharmaceuticals, Bill realized that his true purpose would be found in the service industry. Bill has spent the last 25 building his career in Hospitality by working for numerous restaurant groups including The Chart House, Peohe’s, Rubio’s and most recently Ruby’s Diner.
Bill has fulfilled all job descriptions in the restaurant industry from dishwasher to owner. Bill is currently the Director of Hospitality of the “Good Guys Restaurant Group” which has Ruby’s Diners and Fresca’s Restaurants. Bill has taught numerous Hospitality courses within this group over the years and is looking forward to sharing his experience and knowledge with MiraCosta students.
