Personal Information

I was born and raised in West Virgina and attended West Virginia University (Go Mountaineers!!!!). I moved to California to begin teaching at MiraCosta in 1996. I have four wonderful daughters who are the highlight of my world. I enjoy biking, hiking, camping in the desert, the ocean in August (much too cold before that), swimming, and chocolate :) Most of all, I just really enjoy hanging out with my family, and of course... doing math!

Fall 2010

This class will be taught using CourseCompass (CC) and will require reliable internet access. Work can be done at home or in the Math Learning Center. The midterm and final exam will be given on campus in a proctored environment (Midterm must be completed by 11/15, Cumulative Final Exam must be completed by 12/11). All instruction and homework assignments in the class will be done online.

All students must complete the online orientation before 11:59pm on October 18, 2010. This will require, among other things: buying the CourseCompass access code at the MiraCosta bookstore or online at the Pearson Website registering with CC , e-mailing the instructor, posting to the discussion board, reading the syllabus and completing an assignment. Once you have completed the orientation, you may begin working in the class.
