Don Dean

I worked as a full-time creative director and director of marketing for over 20 years. I've been a Web professional since 1995 when I created my first Web site for my company as a class project. The funny thing was at that time my company didn't even have a Web connection. They not only got access, they started an Internet Service Providing and Web design business. That class assignment helped our company start a new business an they made me the webmaster.

Since then I have made a living as a web professional, eventually working for in the corporate world. In 1999 I started teaching at MiraCosta and was given the opportunity to help create the E-Commerce program. I also teach or have taught Web creation, design and marketing classes, Web database, 3d Animation, Photoshop, video production and multimedia classes at several other campuses. My students have won numerous awards for their work.

December, 2006 I completed my master's degree in Educational Technology at SDSU. It was a wonderful experience that led to a career as an eLearning Curriculum Developer for a Globe 100 company. I now create training for Web-based and instructor lead courses and have been abel to do some cutting edge work, such as creating an animated learning portals, knowledge-based video games, a virtual 3d training environment, and training for mobile devices.

This journey started with that first Web site in 1995. I'm looking forward to helping my students get their start in the fast-paced and lucrative world of E-Commerce.
