The Paperwork

Sabbatical Application
Wherein I attempted to write out the plan with as much detail as possible. Then all sabbaticals were cancelled. Then they were given back after I'd given up. I stuck to the plan as best I could.

Timesheet
The "log of hours" required by Board Policy.

Captain's Log
Wherein I recorded my progress and frustrations as I went along.

Bibliography
A selection of books I read as part of this sabbatical.

The Multimedia Units

First project: Titanic
My intention here was to create a QuickTime movie to help teach the skill set historians use. The need for this has been obvious in my classes for some time, and I hope it will be especially helpful to online students.

Second project: Edison
This was created from old footage at the Library of Congress. It's for my modern U.S. history class.

Third project: Baroque
For my modern Western Civilization class, a unit to show the transition in art and music from the baroque to the classical using only visuals and music.

Fourth project: England
Originally intended for my History of England class, I won't be using this one because it didn't meet my goals, but I learned a lot!

Fifth project: 101
Designed to assist students entering History 101 (World History 1500-present) who haven't taken History 100, this project used the skills I learned to provide a relatively painless introduction to major civilizations.

Just for Fun
Stuff I'll use elsewhere!
