and Science Fair
- Come see what it's all about!
You, too, might be inspired by some of the booth and activities
showcased at the Math and Science Fair. Come to the Oceanside campus on
Saturday, the 6th of May, between 10am and noon. Click

- Astronomy Day 2006
- Astronomy Day is an internationally
recognized day to appreciate astronomy, the oldest of the sciences. Come to
a Star Party on Friday or Saturday (05-06 May 2006) for an awesome
sight and to get a feel for why we love it so much. Everyone from around the
area is invited to partake in the
viewing.

Oceanside High
- Ever seen the disk of the sun
safely? Seen any sunspots directly? You might! Stay tuned for more
information on viewing the sun through optically safe equipment from the
roof of the science building at OHS.
- MiraCosta and Oceanside
High want you to reach for the stars!
- On the Sunday of Halloween weekend
come to the roof of the science building at OHS and see what their students
do! Students and parents from all around the Oceanside Unified School
District are invited to partake in the
viewing
and peruse literature on avenues of study at MiraCosta College and careers
in astronomy and the physical sciences.
- Mars Parties for close
approach 2005
- On the Friday and Saturday of
Halloween weekend come to the Mars Parties to catch a glimpse of our Red
Neighbor as it reaches closest approach with Earth during this orbital
period. Everyone from around the area is invited to partake in the
viewing
and peruse literature on "How Astronomers Know the Vast Scale of Cosmic
Time" and careers in astronomy and the physical sciences.
