My younger son, Greg, clowning for the camera as he sports a mohawk. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999 and my sons shaved their heads to show their solidarity to me when my hair fell out during chemotherapy. My journey through breast cancer left me a wiser and happier woman. With the help of my family, friends, and many dear co-workers, I was able to work while I underwent both chemotherapy and radiation therapy. I was lucky to have caught my cancer early during my yearly mammogram at age 49. I am happy to report that I am now cancer free.
