California Community College regulations require that all Career and Technical Education Programs have Advisory Boards to provide direction and consultation on industry workforce and job development needs and trends; technological developments and standards; continuity among courses, local certificates, and professional certifications; and future program strategic planning. 

The MiraCosta College Computer Applications Program Advisory Board meets yearly in the spring semester and is comprised of MiraCosta faculty and volunteer industry professionals within the computer, technology, and business industries in coastal North County, San Diego.
