Is Flexible Learning right for me?

This short survey will help you determine whether or not Flexible Learning classes are right for you.  Click where you "agree" with the sentence.
I am self-motivated and work well on my own.
I can type at least 20 wpm and have taken CIS 102 and/or CIS 185, or have equivalent knowledge (if taking CIS 100, 105, 150, 184).  CIS 102 students - this question is not applicable.
I have access to and know how to use the internet and email.
I have at least four to six hours per week to devote to this class.
I need to take this class immediately for a degree, job, or other important reason.
I can learn without weekly lecture or discussion.
I have a busy lifestyle, but want to take classes.
I would classify myself as someone who often gets things done ahead of time.
When an instructor hands out directions for an assignment, I prefer to figure those directions out myself and ask for help when needed.
Classroom discussion is rarely or just sometimes helpful to me.
I am comfortable asking questions when I am stuck on a problem.
I can budget my time well to stay on task with homework.
I like to have fun while learning new things.
As a reader, I would classify myself as average to above average, usually understanding the text and sometimes asking for help.
I am willing to check my email address for weekly updates.
If I get behind, I feel comfortable asking the instructor for assistance.

If you checked at least 11 of the boxes above, you are a strong candidate for success in an Flexible Learning class!

If you checked 7 or more of the boxes above, an Flexible Learning class may work for you, but you may need to make a few adjustments in your schedule and study habits to succeed.  Talk to me within one week of enrolling in the class to set up a plan which gives you the best chance of success.

If you checked less than 7 of the boxes above, an Flexible Learning class may not currently be the best alternative for you.  I encourage you to talk to your counselor about other options.
