Gmail and Yahoo access to your MiraCosta mailbox
Gmail and Yahoo use a protocol called POP to access your MiraCosta mailbox. If you have your MiraCosta account added to your Gmail or Yahoo account, you will most likely not be able to receive MiraCosta mail via Gmail or Yahoo unless you manually make a change.
Once your mailbox is migrated to a new server, you will most likely again need to make a change.
If you have any trouble with this, please use Outlook Web App to access your MiraCosta mail until your mailbox has been migrated.
Click “edit info” found on the right side of the ‘check mail from other accounts” option.
Change the POP Server from mail.miracosta.edu to oldmail.miracosta.edu (you will need to revert this to mail.miracosta.edu once your mailbox has been migrated).
Again, if you have any trouble with Gmail or Yahoo integration, please use Outlook Web App to access your MiraCosta mail until your mailbox has been migrated. Should you continue to experience mail access issues after your mailbox has been migrated, please submit a helpdesk ticket.
