Carolyn Howell MA, LAADC(nr), CADCII/ICADC
Carolyn holds a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counseling LAADC credential. She is both a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II CADCII, and International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor ICADC. Her Master Degree is in Counseling Psychology. Carolyn has extensive counseling experience working with individuals with Abuse, Dependence and Co-Occurring Disorders. She is a passionate advocate for Social Justice in removing the stigmatization associated with chemically dependent individuals.
Dr. Mark Ingram
Dr. Ingram is a licensed psychologist in the State of California. In addition to his private practice, he is a staff Clinical Psychologist at Alternative Options Counseling and Addiction Center, an adjunct professor in the psychology program at Ryokan College, and an instructor for the Riverside, El Camino, and MiraCosta Community Colleges' CAADAC programs. Dr. Norma Keukelaar
Dr. Keukelaar is an acupuncturist. With 19 years of experience, she feels that any student interested in expanding their knowledge of counseling strategies can greatly benefit with the ancient wisdom contain in Auriculotherapy. The body of Oriental Medicine is baste and complicated due to its universality. However, the seminar of Auriculotherapy presented here is a simplify presentation that is easy to learn and apply. What is special about this class is the awareness gained of the integration of Western and Easter techniques that can alleviate de suffering of body, mind and spirit.
Dr. Rosalía Muñoz-Ledo Koba
Dr. Rosalía Muñoz-Ledo Koba has a Ph.D. in Alternative Medicine, is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapists since 1984, BBS Certified Hypnotherapist, a school counselor, and has a private practice. Personal family experience has inspired her to prepare and educated future drug and alcohol counselors. She brings insight, a wealth of experience, using an educational psychology approach to teaching making courses interactive, enjoyable, and self-transformational.
Dr. Balaji Nettimi
Dr. Balaji Nettimi has a Masters in Experimental Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He is a psychology professor and a licensed psychologist in private practice, with experience in the area of dual diagnosis. His research interests include, brief and alternative psychotherapy modalities.
Julie Wootton, MSHR, PHR has a BA in Psychology and Human Resources from Chico State University. She has a MS in Human Resources from Chapman University and PHR certification. She was a human resource manager at Rubio’s and NBC Universal, and the senior human consultant at Leap Wireless/Cricket Communications. She is currently the owner and president of San Diego Human Resources Consulting, Inc. and teaches at both MiraCosta College and San Diego State University.
Joe Molina is a Business Consultant with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and coordinates the Young Entrepreneurship Project (YEP). Joe’s academic experience includes a position at Park University serving as the Academic Director and Instructor teaching Organizational Behavior, Management and Business Policy. He is also an instructor at Cal State San Marcos Extended Studies teaching Management courses. He has served as Chairman of the Board for a local Credit Union and is also a coauthor of two textbooks “Creating High Performance Employees” and “Business in a Week”.
Calandra Crawford has been in the U.S. Navy since 1992. She was a machinist on two ships and a machine shop supervisor on a third. She has three years of experience as a certified master training specialist instructor and was a production and operations manager for over eight years on two different vessels.
Matt Rivera has over 12 years of experience as optical technology instructor at multiple colleges in Southern California. He received his associates of applied science degree in optical technology from Portland Community College. He is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners, and has a California teaching credential. He has worked in both private optometric practices and optical retail stores. He has also taught English as a second language to international students at UCSD.
Ellen C Teneriello, RVT, LATG, MPA, Ellen is an Animal Welfare Specialist at the University of California, San Diego. She has taught Animal Immunology Laboratory Courses, Instructed undergraduate students on techniques for blood collection and evaluation, spent time as a Teaching Assistant in Molecular Approached to Immunology, and trained and monitored attendees from universities and community colleges on appropriate techniques necessary for animal immunological studies. She is also responsible for training new students, staff and faculty on policies, rules and procedures for animal care at UCSD. She received her A.S. from Mt San Antonio College in Animal Health Technology, her B.S in Organizational Management from University of La Verne, and a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from Cal State University, Long Beach.
