Counseling
Counseling services at the Community Learning Center are available on a drop-in or appointment basis; however, appointments are strongly encouraged. Counselors provide academic, career, and personal counseling, refer students to other college departments and community agencies, offer a variety of educational workshops, and coordinate events to promote and support students as they transition from the AHS program to college credit courses. Counselors meet with every incoming student during the intial registration session to review program requirements and discuss their education plan, and work with students to identify pathways to higher education during the education planning process. Students are encouraged to meet with a counselor each term.
