Computer Courses
Noncredit Computer courses are offered at the MiraCosta College Community Learning Center, 1831 Mission Avenue in Oceanside. These are hands-on computer courses ranging from beginning to intermediate levels. Noncredit computer courses are great for those who want to learn the basics or need to refresh their skills for the job market.

Note: Computer courses use Windows 7 and Office 2010

In this course, students develop information technology skills to access, evaluate, and utilize information resources using the Internet and web browsers. Students also develop some proficiency in using word processing software and a course management system. Students need previous mastery of mouse, keyboard, saving files, general computer usage background. This course will use MicroSoft Word 2010. |

| NCVOC38 Computer Basics/Keyboarding | |||||
This course introduces students to the Windows environment as well as to computer terminology, hardware, and software. Students use the Internet utilizing a web browser, conducting basics searches, and using E-mail. Students also learn fundamental keyboarding skills, including Home Row keyboarding skills, in order to develop some level of speed and accuracy using typing programs (local or on-line).
