Statistics

This course introduces data analysis. Topics include design of experiments, descriptive statistics, correlation and regression, probability, sampling, estimation, and significance testing. Students use appropriate technology to analyze real-world data. UC CREDIT LIMITATION: Credit for MATH 103, PSYC 104/SOC 104, PSYC 104H/SOC 104H or BIO 180/BTEC 180.

Instructor notes: This course will be taught through Blackboard. Go to blackboard.miracosta.edu and log in using your SURF log in and password. Then go to section 1154. There will be five required proctored two-hour tests in the Math Learning Center at the Oceanside campus. (You will not be permitted to take tests at any other, off-campus, sites.) Each test will have a testing window of at least three days. More course details, including the dates of the testing windows, will be available on Blackboard to enrolled students before the first day of the class.
