Instructor notes: This class is designed to provide you with an overview of a wide variety of topics related to business operations in today’s global business environment. You will demonstrate what you are learning through a series of papers and online quizzes. We’ll start with the basics, including understanding the impact of culture and politics on business, and move through to the various ways a business can operate on a global platform. Operational learning will occur in the areas of human resources, marketing, business strategy, and social responsibility. Current international political and business news will be used to re-enforce course concepts. This is NOT a self-paced class. There will be weekly homework assignments and written analyses due throughout the semester. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!
